The Material Calculator app is used to calculate the raw material weight (gross weight) of a component manufactured from round, square or hexagon rods of base material steel, stainless steel, brass, copper or aluminum.Do consider adding parting, end piece and rejection allowance while entering component length.You can calculate - weight of the rod based on the length of the rod- weight of material for the entered number of pieces- chips generated based on the net weight of component- cost of raw material on entering the rate of raw material per kg- the effective cost of raw material after deducting the chips value on entering the chips rate per kg.This app is useful for people in auto component manufacturing industries or who use raw material as rods of different shapes and base material.
